Rise & Shine
Animation Pitching Lab for young talents and their short films
29. November, 10.00
DDT Hall
Kotnikova ulica 4
We are excited and proud to present our new animation pitching lab aimed at young filmmakers! We have partnered up with CEE Animation and Animafest Zagreb World Festival of Animated Film to prepare a fresh two-part pitching event, Rise & Shine.
We have decided to develop this programme together and prepare ongoing in-depth tutoring for selected teams of a producer and director/scriptwriter of short films. A selection of projects by young talents attended Animafest Zagreb in June 2022, where they participated in a programme of lectures, workshops, individual and group sessions with experienced guest film professionals in the field of animation. A special focus was on the story development of the project, which they worked on with leading dramaturges Pedro Rivero, Joanna Quinn and Les Mills.
The second part will take place at Animateka, where the selected teams will receive lessons focused on pitching preparations and improving their presentation skills. Just before the festival, they received online tutoring on preparing a project video pitch by Matthieu Darras. On-site in Ljubljana, the selected teams will participate in the on-site pitching tutoring, led by Anna Vašova, and attend the pitching competition. The winning project(s) will be invited to the CEE Animation Forum 2023.
