Once again, AnimatekaPRO will take place at Old Power Station, Slomškova 18, Ljubljana.

AnimatekaPRO is the Animateka festival platform for animation professionals and students. It is a place where one can learn about the latest trends, be updated on the latest developments, and meet outstanding film professionals while exploring the world of animated film.
AnimatekaPRO traditionally features breakfasts with authors, where the curators of the Official Competition dive into in-depth conversations with the visiting filmmakers.
For the fifth consecutive year, the AnimatekaPRO Pitch competition for projects in development will provide insight into the state of animation in ex-Yugoslav countries. The competition will be followed by Anna Vašova’s masterclass on pitching for beginners and complemented with presentations of some local works in progress.
As part of the HerStory retrospective, its curators will discuss the specifics of curating themed programmes, while a panel of speakers will talk about gender equality in animation.
Events for professionals also include masterclasses, a chance to learn more about the production activity and creative work of some of this year’s jurors, and VR case studies.
The programme will wrap up with a CEE Animation Festival Network panel discussion, where representatives of five festivals from the region will talk about distribution, accessibility, and audiences.
