Time Must Have a Hold
Angst is a misuse of the imagination, when we fear something, we simply choose to imagine a future happening. But why do we fear something that hasn’t happened yet? We have to remind ourselves that anything could happen and that it's useless to experience things before they occur. Look around, turn back, look again. Don't overthink, you are at the right place in the right moment, where time has a hold.
Attraction
Two characters, dancer and abstract animation, experiencing the notion of attraction. While the dancer is bound to physical laws, her animated dance partner is able to redefine its existing form and is only influenced by the attraction reigning between both characters.
Sara the Dancer
Sara is a Google Street View Camera, photographing the streets from the top of a car. But when she listens to the music of driver Larry for the first time, something starts to shake in her. Deeply unsettled by this behaviour, she searches for help at the common Google Search. Google, on the other hand, just wants the best for their users and strengthens her desire. Quickly, this leads to an existential conflict with her actual camera use.
Zakaj / Zašto / Why
Two mountain climbers, Ola and Bole, set out on the adventure of their lives: a winter ascent of a dangerous route. However, they are forced to give up before reaching the summit. Desperate, losing hope for survival, they imagine a happier scenario. The film “fulfils” their wishes and so begins the good old pursuit of a better life.
Nadzorovani stiki / Closed Visit
How would you cope if you could only see your son from behind a screen? Closed Visit is a fictional animation based on the real experiences of British single fathers. Paul hasn't seen his son in five months since the divorce, the only form of contact he is allowed is through a weekly video call.
Mala / Malá / The Little One
Rong is a little girl of Vietnamese origin living in the Czech Republic. While growing up she experiences various unpleasant situations because of looking different. She is silent and spends most of the time with her fish. She gradually gains self-confidence and is able to support her sister Lilly in the same struggles. As it happens Rong´s family is forced to leave the country for Vietnam.
Perfect Town
A metaphorical film about perfection. A city searches for the state of perfection. Therefore the behaviour of its inhabitants gets constantly evaluated until they are eventually dropped out.
Na različnih polih / Poles Apart
The story of an unlikely meeting between Nanuk, a tough female polar bear, and Aklak, an enthusiastic male grizzly bear, brought together by their changing habitats. The lack of food in a melting Arctic has left the solitary Nanuk desperately hungry. When the hopeful and eager Aklak crashes into Nanuk's world, she has to decide if the naïve grizzly bear is her food or her friend.
