Eva Zurbriggen was born in Bern, Switzerland. She was educated at the School of Applied Arts and graduated at the Faculty of Pedagogy of the University in Bern, where she received her license to teach drawing. In 1995, she moved to Turin, where she started working in animation. After her first job as an assistant for the final check of the feature film 'The Blue Arrow', produced by La Lanterna Magica, she worked as an animator on several television series. After a few years of experience as an animator, she worked as a layout artist for several television series and feature films.
Since 2003 she teaches at the Department of Animation of the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia (National Film School) where she's responsible for the courses in fundamentals and principles of classic animation, layout and character design, and tutoring the students in the production of their diploma films.
