Lani Weber Schaer

Born in 1956 in Tokyo, Lani now lives in Geneva, Switzerland. After graduating from the Geneva Art School, she worked as a set decorator for short and feature films, and then joined a cinema club for children. Building on that experience, from 2005 she went on to organising cinema days for young audiences, setting up workshops for kids and school screenings, and contributing to the production of educational documents on animation cinema. She has been co-directing the Animatou Festival in Geneva since 2006.
