
Kamila Dohnalova
Kamila Dohnalová is a young Oscar-shortlisted film producer based in Prague, Czech Republic. She has studied Film Studies and Marketing Communication & PR at the Charles University in Prague, and Film Producing at FAMU in Prague where she worked as an executive producer on more than twenty films including Happy End (2015, dir. Jan Saska), a short animation selected to La Quinzaine des Réalisateurs in Cannes and to Annecy IAFF, awarded Best Short Animation Award at Guanajuato IFF 2016 and shortlisted for Academy Awards 2016; Peacock (2015, dir. Ondřej Hudeček), a short fiction screened at Karlovy Vary IFF, Toronto IFF and awarded Short Film Special Jury Award for Best Direction at the Sundance Film Festival 2016; or Havel Heart (2012, dir. Viktor Portel), a short documentary awarded the Czech Press Photo Video Award. Kamila has a solid film festival and art-house film distribution working experience, as well as she worked for the Czech Television and National Film Archive. Within her newly established production company Silk Films she is now developing with two colleagues of her several fiction and animated film projects (Entangled in War, The Figurant, Divine Diversand others).
