It's time to get animated!

Today Animateka 2014 opens with three events and many great films!

First we will open the Elephant programme at 5pm in Kinodvor with the screening of The Boy and The World, a feature animated film by Ale Abreu. The film has no dialogues but you will see that sometimes words are not needed when you're talking about important things.

Then at 7pm at Slovenska kinoteka it will be time for the Festival Opening night Premiere: Signe Baumane's feature film Rocks in my pockets. A dark comedic film about the author's struggle with depression tells an intriguing story full of uncovered family secrets and self discovery.

At 9pm the time will finally arrive to declare the animation games open! The official opening ceremony will take place at Kinodvor and will feature a world premiere of the collective work Re-Cycling, a short animated film, made by 10 authors from different countries. One of them is also Špela Čadež, the Slovene author of the many times awarded animated short Boles.

And thats just the beginning! Until Sunday Animateka will show more than 400 films and welcome 150 international guests, which means this festival will be nothing less but awesome.

Be there!
