A British Friday on Animateka

On Friday we’ll drink tea at five o’clock, a bit bifore that we’ll have a chat with Rok Predin, a slovene animator thats been having a lot of success in Britan in the last few years, and at night we’ll finish with the animated feature film A Liar’s Autobiography: The Untrue Story of Monty Python's Graham Chapman.

Let's start with the film! Not a documentary, not a Monty Python film, A Liar's Autobiography is Chapman's own take on his bizarre life and his search for self-knowledge. Incredible, yes. Surreal, certainly. It was made by 14 different British animation schools, so it has a very distinctive visual style - well, 14 of them. One of them includes an animator we all know and will get to know even better tomorrow - Rok Predin!

Rok graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Ljubljana in 2005 and four years later signed with Trunk Animation. Since then he has created projects for Elton John, Madness, Keith Urban and The Rolling Stones and directed commercials and broadcast identities for international clients, whilst always continuing to make his own films, telling his own stories in his own unique style. These have gone on to win awards and have been screened at festivals all over the world. The Masterclass with Rok Predin will take place on Friday December 6 at 13:00 in Kinodvor cafe.

The film A Liar's Autobiography will be screened on Friday, December 6 at 22:00 at Kinodvor, and on Saturday, December 7 at 23:00. Don't miss it!
