Špela Čadež joins the Annecy 2014 jury

Slovene animators are heading towards another success, as they will play an important part of both Annecy animation festival in France as well as Zagreb’s Animafest.

On both festival the leading lady of our delegation will be Špela Čadež, as she is a member of this year’s official jury for short films at Annecy!

But that’s not all she’ll be doing there, as she - or better, a puppet of the main character from her critically acclaimed and awarded film Boles - will also take part in an exibition of contemporary puppet animation.

In Annecy she will be accompanied by the 4 slovene children that are forming Annecy’s Junior Jury, as we’ve alredy mentioned, and by a programme of slovene short films for children, that will be screened as a part of the festival’s unofficial accompanying programme in collaboration with Atelier AAA.

Before France, Slovene animators are going to Animafest.

In Zagreb, Špela will be present with an exibition an four films. On the Puppet in croatian animated film exhibition she will present some scenography and a puppet from her films, the Masters of Animation -  3x3 programme wil feature her short animations Mate to measure, Lovesick and Last minute, while Boles will be screened in the Grand Panorama programme.

Animafest will also show works from the following Slovene authors:

Iztok H. Šuc (Eko Binz, Family programme)

Kolja Saksida (Koyaa – Roža, Films for Children competition)

Boris Dolenc (Maček Muri, Films for Children competition)

We congratulate Špela, the members of the Junior Jury and all the other Slovene animators, who will be present in Annecy and in Zagreb!
